Back to School: Plan ahead and never ‘miss’ a day of school for snow, ice, heat, hurricane… again

It’s  Back to School 2011 !  We’ll be running back to school focused posts throughout the week of September 2nd, highlighting some good tips and suggestions for making the most out of your Moodle usage in 2011-2012.   A school cancellation due to snow, when I was a student, was like winning the lottery.  The day was disrupted and cancelled and I got to go home, go sledding and drink my hot chocolate without a care in the world

New Moodle.org Plugin Database is now live

The new plugin database is now live at Moodle.org and ready to be seeded by the developers of the various plugins, addons, grade reports, themes and other 3rd party tools that give Moodle a host of additional capabilities and user experience improvements.

If you know who Jeff Foxworthy is, then you’re familiar with “you might be a redneck…”  At Moodle.org they have their own orange version of the jokes (some funnier than others) about die-hard Moodlers. Some of my favorite “ you might be a Moodler… ” You describe the color of something as “Moodle” orange

LCD Thermometer using a LM35

The LM35 Temperature Sensor is a versatile and inexpensive sensor that could be useful in many projects such as a PWM Fan Controller or this LCD Thermometer project . In this case a ATMega8 reads the analog value and updates the LCD to show the current temperature.
