You can install Debian as you wish as well. From traditional CD media, USB memory sticks, or netbook images. The installer has been improved for easier operation of the keyboard and language selections as well as partitioning and setting up logical volumes, RAID, and encrypted filesystems. In addition, support has been added this release for the ext4 and Btrfs filesystems. Pure open source lovers will be glad to hear that all proprietary and close-sourced code has been removed from the Debian kernel this relase.
Release notes and an Installation Manual have been made available as usual. The numerous types of downloads can be found at Debian.org. Speaking of Debian.org, you might notice it has received an update to mark this release as well. After 13years, Debian’s main website and its wiki, lists archive, blog aggregator planet and package information system now have a more modern and refreshing new look. These updates bring easier navigation as well a great new face for the project. Visit Debian.org for a look-see. via OStatic
