Apache Software Foundation is announcing that Apache Commons CLI with version number 1.3.1 is already available to download.
What is Apache Commons CLI ?
Apache Commons CLI is A lightweight Java library for building software, applications and scripts that can be controlled via a command line interface (CLI) .
The Apache Commons CLI projects features a complex set of controls that allow developers to interact with the user’s terminal, supplying him with a set of commands that are then translated into actions inside the application/software.Commons CLI can parse commands and their arguments/parameters from the user’s terminal while also giving him immediate feedback for whatever he typed.The library can be used for building both CLI command centers and CLI help guides, supporting a wide range of command-line options.These include:- POSIX like options- GNU like long options- Java like properties- Short options with value attached- Long options with single hyphen

- A major regression introduced in CLI 1.1 that prevented the usage of repeated options has been fixed.
- Several parser issues have been fixed, especially with the PosixParser.
- HelpFormatter now wraps the lines properly
