What is Maphilight ?

Maphilight is This is a jQuery plugin that adds hover shape support to image maps .

It will allow hover effects to be triggered accordingly when hovering over irregular shapes.So a star object has a star hover mask on top of it in an image map, not a circle, square or rectangle as by default in image maps.The plugin heavily utilizes HTML5 canvas in major browsers, except IE, where VML is used.Maphilight has been tested in Firefox, IE, Safari, Chrome, and Opera.Documentation and several edmos are included with the download package.
