David Wheeler is announcing that Sqitch with version number 0.9992 is already available to download.
What is Sqitch ?
Sqitch is An open source Perl toolkit for managing modifications to an SQL databases, tracking how a database’s content changes across time .
Sqitch works just like any other version control system, tracking changes between files, but unlike normal VCS systems, Sqitch tracks only changes made to a database. If something went wrong at one point or another during the development stage, Sqitch allows developers to simply go back in time and track the error, or more simply, just revert the entire database.Sqitch is a very helpful tool, especially in critical Web applications where the stored data must be protected against accidental modifications or hacking attempts. For now, only PostgreSQL, SQLite and MySQL are supported with Sqitch.
This is changelog for Sqitch version 0.9992 :
- Fixed installation failure due to missing IO::File module on Windows.
- Fixed file test failure for the Oracle engine on Windows.
- Fixed bug where namespace-autoclean: 0.16 caused errors such as “Invalid object instance: ‘yellow'”.
