Victor Puertas is announcing that Spress with version number 2.0.2 is already available to download.
What is Spress ?
Spress is .
Spress lets developers create simple websites using a bloat-free application known in the industry as a “static site generator.” Made famous by Jekyll and GitHub, static site generators are one of the most trending tools developers are developing today, in Ruby, Java, Perl, Python, PHP, and some of them even in Haskell. From the collection of PHP-based static site generators, few of them were built on top of the Symfony framework, the tool that’s considered the best framework in PHP, so good that Drupal decided to switch to it for its core code. Taking advantage of the plethora of professionally developed and well documented Symfony components, Spress is a very modern static site generator, a high-end product when you want to build and deploy a simple HTML site without having to deal with CMSs and complex backends. Developers can assemble their site’s layout using templates, add the content to static text files, format it using Markdown, and them run a few CLI commands to assemble the site as HTML files and static assets. These files can then be hosted online to provide a simple and very fast-loading website.
