Eager is announcing that Stout with version number 1.1.1 is already available to download.
What is Stout ?
Stout is A static site generator for Go environments, a simple tool to easily build and deploy your website without complicated CMS backends .
Stout is not that different from any other static site generator, except instead of serving the compiled HTML website from the folder it’s in, it uploads it to an Amazon S3 server instead. If your website targets anyone in general and not users in a specific location around the globe, this provides faster speeds. On top of this, Stout also provides a simple versioning system for HTML, JS, and CSS files, allowing developers to easily go back to previous deployed files if anything goes wrong.Source code compression is also supported, and developers can also deploy multiple Stout websites to different sub-directories and have a multi-site setup if needed. The Stout package can be used from the Go CLI, is self-contained, and also comes with various binaries for various operating system configurations.Since the final site is hosted online, this also means you can easily have multiple Stout installations working on different computers, synchronize them via Dropbox, and let multiple users easily update the site at the same time.
