Valve has released yet another Beta update for its Steam client, but this is a rather small upgrade that only takes care of some minor issues.
A Steam Beta release so small can only mean one thing. Users should get ready for a major update that should arrive really soon. Until then, we can check out the Beta branch of the client.
According to the developers, the handling of warnings on unrecognized links in the chat windows has been improved, a bug that was causing the Windows service log message “Error: Failed to poke open firewall” has been fixed, and installing games from older retail discs is working again.
