Linux News Today: Gorgeous Apricity OS to Get a KDE Edition Soon, November Beta ISO Out Now
We’ve just been informed by the awesome folks behind the beautiful and modern Arch Linux-based Apricity OS GNU/Linux distribution about the immediate availability for download of the November Beta build, Apricity OS 11.2015.
According to the Apricity OS developers, who have been kind enough to give us some insight into the development process of the operating system, Apricity OS 11.2015 includes various interesting new features, such as Powerline, an all-new terminal prompt.
There is also a transparent terminal now available in the distribution, various issues with the installation of the Mozilla Firefox web browser have been fixed, and a workaround for various USB-writing issues has been added.
Additionally, Apricity OS 11.2015 fixes even more Bluetooth issues reported by users since the previous build of the distribution, addresses a problem with permissions, and lands more improvements to Nvidia proprietary video drivers.

However, the awesome news we want to share with you today is that the Apricity OS developers are working around the clock to bring you, guys, a KDE edition of the distribution, in addition to the gorgeous GNOME flavor.
“We’re also getting really close to releasing a KDE edition that looks as great as the current GNOME releases but caters to people looking for a more traditional, taskbar-esque desktop experience,” says Alex from the Apricity OS Team.
