Linux News Today: Here's an Exclusive Sneak Preview of Solus' New Budgie Desktop with Raven
We reported the other day that Solus Project’s developers announced the codename of the soon-to-be-released Solus 1.0 GNU/Linux distribution, as well as the renaming of the notification center of the Budgie Desktop to Raven.
Solus 1.0 is expected on October 1, 2015, but until then the devs are working hard on the last touches, so today, September 20, we have been privileged to see an exclusive sneak preview of the new Budgie Desktop user interface that will ship in the final release of the distribution.
There are three screenshots attached in a gallery posted at the bottom of the article, where you can see Solus 1.0’s new Budgie Desktop with the Applications Menu, the default File Manager, and, of course, the revamped Raven notification center component.
“Exclusive sneak preview of your new Budgie – with Raven putting on a show too. This is not the finished product, so some things are subject to change/fixing,” noted the Solus Project developers in a Google+ post.
As mentioned, the Solus Project’s developers are working hard these days to deliver to you one of the best independent GNU/Linux operating systems on the market. We will have more news about Solus OS in the coming days, so make sure that you subscribe to our Twitter, Google+, and RSS channels right here on Softpedia Linux.
