We have just received an email from Animesoft International informing us about the availability for the final release of their Ubuntu-based Linux Mangaka Chu distribution.
We reported last week that the upcoming Chu edition of Mangaka Linux is in development with a first Release Candidate (RC) build out the door, swithing the desktop environment, again, from MATE to a beautiful combination between Cinnamon and GNOME.
According to today’s email announcement sent by Animesoft International for Linux Mangaka Chu, the distribution is based on Canonical’s latest Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system and features a darkish and gorgeous Cinnamon desktop environment.
Being based on the latest long-term supported version of Ubuntu Linux, Mangaka Linux Chu includes all the stable LTS updates that have been released until today, October 14, 2015, on the official software repositories of the Ubuntu operating system.
“Today we are happy to announce the world the update of Linux Mangaka Chu for this year 2015 based on Ubuntu 14.04 with Cinnamon desktop and all stable LTS updates until now, as for the 7 years of Animesoft we included some spice apps just for you into the system,” said Animesoft International.

Not only that Mangaka Linux Chu comes with the new Cinnamon desktop environment, but it includes a great selection of applications, among which we can mention Kodi media center, TeamViewer remote control, Mozilla Thunderbird email and news client, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Birdie Twitter client, and Skype VoIP client.
Additionally, the LibreOffice, Wine, Gnokii, Barry, Genymotion, Ren’Py, Performous, and a few Google apps are also included.
