Linux News Today: qBittorrent 3.3.1 Open Source BitTorrent Client Adds Seeds Tab to the Web Interface
Just a few minutes ago, December 8, the developers behind the qBittorrent open-source and cross-platform BitTorrent client have announced the release of the first maintenance version of the stable qBittorrent 3.3 series.
According to the release notes, which we have attached at the end of the article for reference, qBittorrent 3.3.1 implements a new “Set as default label” option in the “Add torrent” dialog, adds support for wildcards, which can be used to filter torrent content and the torrent list, and implements a Seeds tab to the web interface.
Names are now used for exported torrents instead of hash, the RSS has been updated to automatically mark articles as read, scanning of directories settings now works properly, the infinity symbol has been replaced with -1, and the upgrade process has been greatly improved, migrating undownloaded magnets too.
Among other changes implemented in qBittorrent 3.3.1, we can mention that the spinner works correctly in the web interface’s Upload page, the height of the web interface’s Download page has been modified, a possible deadlock that occurred when closing the app has been fixed, and the WebUI API_VERSION variable was bumped.
There are several cosmetic changes as well
There are also many other cosmetic changes in qBittorrent 3.3.1, such as cleanups for the layouts of the “Speed”, “Peers”, “Content”, “Trackers”, and “HTTP Sources” pages, support for QLineEdit’s built-in ClearButton for Qt 5, modifications to the text description of connections that are opened only half way, and the decremented of the width of the main window’s border.
