Linux News Today: BakAndImgCD 19.0 Data Backup and Disk Imaging Live CD Officially Released

4MLinux developer Zbigniew Konojacki has informed Softpedia today, August 9, 2016, about the immediate availability for download of the BakAndImgCD 19.0 data backup and disk imaging Live CD.

Based on 4MLinux Backup Scripts 19.0, and implicitly on the 4MLinux 19.0 operating system, BakAndImgCD 19.0 is here in its final and production-ready state to help you back up your data from any possible Linux, Microsoft Windows, or Mac OS X file system, including Btrfs, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, HFS, and HFS+.

Additionally, BakAndImgCD 19.0 supports the less popular F2FS, NILFS2, JFS, Reiser4, ReiserFS, and XFS filesystems, and it also includes the widely used and open-source GNU ddrescue, Partimage, and Partclone utilities to allows users to perform disk imaging (also known as cloning) operations on any partition or drive (HDD or SSD).

The best part of the BakAndImgCD 19.0 Live CD is that it works independently of a computer operating system. It is designed to run in live mode directly from the bootable medium where it is deployed, be it either a USB flash drive or a CD/DVD disc. The latest version, BakAndImgCD 19.0, is now available for download via our website.

In the meantime, Zbigniew Konojacki works hard to release the final 4MLinux 19.0 operating system, which promises to bring all the latest software applications that have been announced lately, as well as the most recent and popular GNU/Linux technologies. More details should be available on September 1, 2016.
