Linux News Today: ubuntuBSD Project Announces the Availability of the Official ubuntuBSD Forums

The ubuntuBSD project announced the other day the availability of the official ubuntuBSD forums at https://forums.ubuntubsd.org, where users can collaborate to the upcoming OS.

ubuntuBSD aims to be a desktop-oriented operating system that brings users the familiarity of the Ubuntu/Debian platform and the power of the FreeBSD kernel. For the time being, the ubuntuBSD distribution remains under heavy development.

Last week we reported that ubuntuBSD lead developer and maintainer Jon Boden was proud to inform the community about the availability of the project’s official website, where users could find the needed information about ubuntuBSD.

And today, you can also join the official ubuntuBSD forums, where you’ll find topics about installing or upgrading the base system, desktop usage, server and networking services, installation and maintenance of packages, and much more.

“We’re glad to announce availability of #ubuntuBSD forums at https://forums.ubuntubsd.org. Enjoy and give us feedback!” said the developers of the ubuntuBSD project in a brief announcement on Twitter.

A fifth Beta build of what will soon become the ubuntuBSD 15.10 operating system was seeded to public beta testers two weeks ago, bringing a small fix to a hang issue for the Thunar file manager.

If you want to help the ubuntuBSD developers finalize the operating system, you can start by downloading the ISO image right now via our website, then thoroughly test it and report bugs or annoyances on the main forums.
