What is Advanced Custom Fields ?
Advanced Custom Fields is .
Advanced Custom Fields provides the visual interface developers have always wanted to manage custom fields. In case you still don't know what a custom field (even after about five years of being used with WordPress), a custom field is a WordPress taxonomy element that allows developers to attach custom values to a post. This can be used to record custom information on a post basis and then use it on the frontend, or just to store meta data. Custom fields are widely used on most sites, generally to modify the blogging interface to let editors add custom data based on their blog's content. Creating custom fields usually required some pretty advanced coding, but utilizing the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, developers can now create them using a special page in their site's admin panel. Multiple types of custom fields are supported, from basic text, to dates, time values, WYSIWYG fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, email fields, maps, and so on. Custom fields can be set as required, optional, or repeating, each one with its own set of settings and rules. All the fields created with the Advanced Custom Fields plugin can easily be imported and exported, and the plugin can also be extended via various add-ons. Installation: Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
