It does this via a Web calendar that's very easy to manage via a specially crafted administration panel. Here admins can add events, organize them in different categories, and even add other users to the system as well. Users can also be grouped together, and email notifications and alerts an be sent out to them when activities involving them are upcoming in the following days. LuxCal supports public, private, multi-day, and recurring events, along with a special color-coding system for easily detecting activities of the same type. There are also daily, weekly, monthly and yearly views, where users can review upcoming events and to-do lists, while also subscribing to notifications via email or RSS. If you can't install LuxCal because you don't have access to a database, there's also a LuxCal version that works with SQLite databases.
