Apache Bigtop is . Apache Bigtop is for building easy to deploy Hadoop installations that can easily be installed on one or more clusters when needed. Bigtop includes tools to help developers create custom Hadoop packages with or without an underlying OS, making them easy to install with a few commands on various network nodes. Support is also included for system imaging (virtualization), with special attention for Vagrant installations. Outside these useful deployment options, a testing framework is also included for easily verifying created packages at various levels of development. Apache Bigtop was tested mainly on Linux, but should work on other platforms as well.
