Built around the latest Bspwm window manager and based on the stable Manjaro Linux repositories, Manjaro Linux Bspwm 16.05 Community Edition arrives today one week after the release of Manjaro Linux Bspwm 16.05 RC build as the most lightweight flavor of the Arch Linux-based operating system, designed from the ground up to minimize RAM and CPU usage for maximum performance.
However, Manjaro Linux Bspwm 16.05 Edition is not for anyone, as it's been engineered specifically for programmers and developers who are familiar with a tiling window manager and command-line software. It promises a distraction-free environment with the latest GNU/Linux technologies.
"The Bspwm edition is one of our lightest, aiming to minimize ram and cpu usage, maximizing performance," reads today's announcement. "It is easily usable with both command line and graphical interface, with keyboard and mouse and is extremely efficient for both system and user."

Release highlights of Manjaro Linux Bspwm 16.05 Edition include support for the latest GTK+ 3.20 GUI toolkit for modern theming based on the Maia GTK theme and Breeze icon set, which are also used on other Manjaro Linux flavors as part of the new rebranding of the upcoming Manjaro Linux 16.06 "Daniella" release.
The built-in mouse support has been improved as well, mostly due to the use of the MyGtkMenu user-defined GTK menu for launching applications, the desktop effects and window compositing has been enabled by default to support the new features of the Bspwm window manager, and zsh is now the default shell.
Another important change introduced in Manjaro Linux Bspwm 16.05 Edition is LightFirefox, a lightweight version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Also, it looks like Thus is now the graphical installer for the operating system, which ships with lots of other popular software, such as Clonezilla, ALSA, and SpaceFM.
