Red Hat, through Scott McCarty, is happy to announce the general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.2.6, a maintenance update that adds many performance improvements to most of the included components.

"For the past two years, Red Hat has been promoting the concept of super-privileged containers (SPCs) to handle the 'tools and agents' use case," says Scott McCarty. "We still believe this is an ideal approach for solving these use cases in a containerized environment. That said, there are plenty of situations where it would be nice to simply add an rpm, or even a handful, to Atomic Host."
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.2.6 brings Docker improvements
The latest release, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.2.6, is here to introduce various enhancements and new features to the Docker, atomic command-line interface (CLI), rpm-ostree, Cockpit, and Skopeo components, along with increased flexibility of Atomic Host deployments. Package layering is also a new feature implemented in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.2.6 release, which is now available for all existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux subscribers and comes one and a half months after the launch of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.2.5 maintenance update.
