Being an LTS (Long-Term Support) version, Linux 3.14 will receive updates for a few more months, and the fifty-fifth maintenance release is proof that the developers are hard at work to fix the latest issues reported by users since the previous version of the kernel, as well as to implement new features and add support for modern hardware components.
