Happy Birthday Fedora! 10 Years Since Fedora Core 1

Posted on November 08, 2013 by Syauqi Wiryahasana
The Fedora Project is now celebrating 10 years of existence and Linux distributions with funky and interesting names and features. The latest Fedora 20 hasn't been released yet, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Fedora project. The Fedora distribution was born with one purpose in mind, which is still the driving force today: to test and implement new applications that will be later integrated in Red Hat products. They had some weird names over the years, but it can't hurt to reminisce: Yarrow (November 6, 2003), Tettnang, Heidelberg, Stentz, Bordeaux, Zod, Moonshine, Werewolf, Sulphur, Cambridge, Leonidas, Constantine, Goddard, Laughlin, Lovelock, Verne, Beefy Miracle, Spherical Cow, Schrödinger's Cat, and Heisenbug. We wish them a happy birthday and we hope that the next release in the series will arrive without any further delays. via Softpedia
