Canonical announced that Mozilla Firefox 41.0.2 has been published in the official repositories for Ubuntu 15.04. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
The Ubuntu maintainers have pushed a new version of Firefox into the official repositories and users should have already received the packages. This is a smaller upgrade for Firefox and it pretty much covers a nasty vulnerability. We covered the problem in great detail if you want to read more about it. All of the updates made to Firefox in the past few months have been integrated much more quickly, which is actually a very encouraging thing.
“Abdulrahman Alqabandi and Ben Kelly discovered that the fetch() API did not correctly implement the Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) specification. If a user were tricked into opening a specially crafted website, an attacker could potentially exploit this to obtain sensitive information from other origins,” reads the security notice from Canonical.

In any case, if you want to get Mozilla Firefox 41.0.2, you just have to upgrade the system, and you’re golden. Just open the Software Updater and let it do its job. You can also upgrade from the terminal, with the following commands:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
