The Proxmox VE development team, through Martin Maurer, has announced earlier today, September 10, 2015, the release and immediate availability for download and testing of the second Beta build of the upcoming Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.0 OS.
Being powered by the recently announced Debian GNU/Linux 8.2.0 (Jessie) operating system, as well as the latest and most advanced Linux 4.2 kernel, Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.0 Beta 2 is here to introduce various new and anticipated features, as well as to address many of the issues that have been reported by users since the previous Beta build of the distribution.
Prominent features of Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.0 Beta 2 include better IPv6 support, numerous improvements to the LXC implementation, especially its integration in the storage model, the addition of the “Hammer” release (branch 0.94.x) of the Ceph Server, embedding of the NoVNC console, as well as the addition of a migration path from OpenVZ to LXC virtualization technology.

Those of you brave enough to take the second Beta build of Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.0 for a test drive, can download the Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.0 Beta 2 ISO images right now from Softpedia. However, please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version of the operating system, not suitable for deployment on production machines where stability is of the essence.
