What is GitBook ?

GitBook is A Node.js command line application for generating books in various formats from Markdown files, all hosted in a Git or GitHub repository . GitBook is perfect for generating programming books, supporting a wide variety of formats like:- HTML (single or multi-page books)- PDF- eBook- JSONBesides the book itself, the application also supports summaries (table of content), search fields, and a small customizable menu.In case the book comes with translations, multi-lingual setups are supported as well.GitBook can also be used to power a coding playground (sandbox) where various code examples can added and executed by users.
