PT Sahabat Kirim Digital, the owner of the Easylink brand and a Payment Service Provider (PJP), has denied allegations of being affiliated with online gambling transactions in Indonesia.
Easylink’s CEO, Yoga Chandra Sudewo, said they were surprised when they read the press release from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics last weekend, which included their company in the list of platforms associated with online gambling.
“We strictly adhere to all laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia. Our main mission is to facilitate legal and transparent financial transactions for our users, focusing on convenience, security, and compliance,” Yoga stated in a press release on Tuesday (August 13, 2024).
Yoga further explained that Easylink, along with several other PJPs, held an online meeting on August 10 with Bank Indonesia as the supervisory body. He claimed that Bank Indonesia provided support for PJPs to clarify Kominfo’s allegations.

“Easylink, along with 20 other PJPs, also held a meeting with Kominfo on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 15:00, to discuss strategies for preventing online gambling on payment system platforms,” Yoga continued.
“We will not risk our license from Bank Indonesia by facilitating illegal transactions, particularly online gambling. Easylink is committed to preventing and mitigating the potential misuse of its electronic system services in transactions related to online gambling activities,” concluded Yoga.
Previously, it was reported that Kominfo released a list of 21 PJPs with 42 Electronic Systems allegedly linked to online gambling in Indonesia. These entities were threatened with being blocked if they continued to facilitate online gambling within seven days after the warning was issued.
