The developers of the popular Audacious open-source audio player software for GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems announced the final release of Audacious 3.7.
According to the release notes, attached at the end of the article for reference, Audacious 3.7 is both a feature and a bugfix release, bringing cool new enhancements, along with numerous under-the-hood improvements, as well as fixes for those annoying bugs reported by users since the previous version of the app.
Prominent features of Audacious 3.7 include support for shuffling playlists by entire albums in addition to single tracks, support for recording Internet streams during playback thanks to the brand-new record button (only for the GTK+ version), and an all-new and unified window for managing equalizer presets, also for the GTK+ build only.
Furthermore, with version 3.7, Audacious users will get better support for high-resolution screens, but only for the GTK+ version of the software, the ability to open the edit page of the current track via the new “Edit Lyrics” option, along support for disabling automatic guessing of missing tag fields.
