OpenMandriva, pewaris resmi dari distro Linux Mandriva kini bergerak selangkah lebih maju lagi setelah resmi menjadi NGO di Perancis. Mereka tengah menggelar kompetisi pembuatan logo komunitas dan asosiasi.

The OpenMandriva Association is moving forward, and now is the time to have a new logo/image. We are starting a competition to find the best logo for the Association.
The competition will be open for 30 days, ending on 22nd of February. The theme of this competition is based on our core values: freedom, openness and collaboration.
We need to maintain some distance from Mandriva SA — they have their own brand and we don’t want to, and cannot, be confused with them. So here are the rules:
Do NOT reuse the Mandriva star (use of other star types is possible) Do NOT use the Mandriva’s traditional colors in connection with a star (but if you don’t use a star, you can use the colors). OpenMandriva should have full rights over the logo and its design. So license your contribution appropriately.
What do you have to contribute to take part in the competition?
Well, we will need 4 images:
1. One square logo (to use as avatar or single icon) 2. One image combining the logo and the OpenMandriva name 3. One image combining the logo, OpenMandriva name and the word Association 4. Only the OpenMandriva name.
All contributions are to be sent to com@openmandriva.org, placed on our Artwork wiki page, discussed on the openmandriva.org forum or uploaded to http://openmandriva.imgur.com/.
The eligibility (compliance with the rules) of your contribution will be analyzed, and your logo will be put up for community voting. The most voted on logo shall be considered the best. Can yours be the best?
