Earlier today, November 18, Jeff Hoogland, the creator of the Bodhi Linux project, announced the general availability of the first maintenance release for the stable Bodhi Linux 3.1 operating system.
According to Mr. Hoogland, Bodhi Linux 3.1.1 is an unscheduled bugfix release that resolves a very annoying issue where users weren’t prompted to enter a password when attempting to connect to an encrypted wireless network.
“The 3.1.0 release we released back in August had an issue where users were not always prompted automatically for wireless passwords when connecting to encrypted networks. This lead to enough confusion / user frustration,” said Jeff Hoogland.
As a bonus, the Bodhi Linux 3.1.1 bugfix release includes all the software updates and security patches that have been published since the release of the Bodhi Linux 3.1.0 operating system on August 2016.
Last but not least, there’s now a new Web App launcher for the Bodhi App Center application. All users of the Bodhi Linux 3.1.0 distribution are urged to update their installations immediately by using the built-in system upgrader utility.
On the other hand, those who want to reinstall Bodhi Linux can download the new Bodhi Linux 3.1.1 Live ISO images for 64-bit or 32-bit computers right now from Softpedia. The installation mediums can also be used by new users to install the Bodhi Linux OS on their computers.
