What is Multiple Select ?

Multiple Select is . Multiple Select provides a more interactive way of presenting multiple selection lists, allowing users to select multiple items at the same time using only their mouse, without having to press the "CTRL" button every time they want to select multiple items. This is done by taking all the items found in a multiple selection field and showing them inside a dropdown select list, with small checkboxes shown next to each list item. The plugin is packed with lots of cool features, allowing developers to support various behaviors, from support for opt-groups, up to showing disabled list items or disabling entire lists. Some of the other Multiple Select features include support for showing the list items on multiple columns inside the dropdown, showing a "select all" option, the ability to select entire items of a list group, and the possibility to show a disabled item already checked. On top of this, the plugin also includes lots of other filters and controls, which give developers the ability to show the dropdown panel opened by default, keep it open after the selection, show the current selection in the list's header, filter out and hide already selected items, show a default placeholder text, add a search field for large dropdown lists, and even add new items to the dropdown list in real-time. Lots of callbacks and customizable parameters are included, and in-depth documentation is provided with the Multiple Select plugin. A demo is included with the download package.
